Re: Show us your custom Physical mt32-pi Builds

Hope you like mine for internal 5.25 bay. Either in black or "beige" for older cases. Oh, you do not need the MIDI cable!!! It´s connected directly to Waveblaster pins of the soundcard. I´m planning to publish .stl and .ai files in case someone wanted to build it. Just le me know. Very Interested …

Re: ATI Radeon X800 Pro video corruption

Are the artifacts always in the same position or they move? Like a bad contact? If they appear always in the same spots it could be bad solder joints on RAM. Hot --> dilation --> loss of contact --> artifacts. My guess. Artifacting seems to move around from what I can tell? I created a quick video …

Re: ATI Radeon X800 Pro video corruption

So I cleaned the card with toothbrush and 91% isopropyl alcohol. There was a lot of old gunk around the memory chips. I let it dry for a day and then tried it. And what do you know, it mostly works now. Booting and desktop and non-3D stuff looks and works perfect. But when you push it with a 3D …

Re: ATI Radeon X800 Pro video corruption

So would this be bad video memory or does GPU needs a reflow? I suspect the latter but thought I would …

Re: TinyLlama (Vortex86EX SBC)

I only tested with D0 signal. I found this video https://youtu.be/SsPOobvoBe8 that described the process (in comments). Seemed much easier to implement than a transistor. Working great so far. If someone finds a better solution please share! It is hard to find much info on adding activity indicator …

Re: TinyLlama (Vortex86EX SBC)

Just thought I would share that I figured out a solution for the SD-Card activity LED . Used a yellow 3mm LED (1.9-2.4V) and 1K resistor on positive leg of LED. Wired negative leg to Data0 of the SD card since the data line is normally pulled up when not operating. And positive leg to VCC (VDD pin …
