It's working ! I think I confused myself with the many files I did download + plus the major fathead oversight of not noticing the drop down menu on the Gildos pallette !!!!! I reinstalled everything as suggested but I'm still not sure how to use the sfx tombub.exe with Glidos. The Glidos server doesn't recognise it as the right version of tomb.exe .... (because it isn't I suppose). I downloaded bonus levels files ages ago from either Dracman or Stella's to play after …

I've played the TR1 game sucessfully with Glidos Sorry if it may be repetetive to ans but how excatly does one use the 3dfx tombub.exe file with the Glidos server? I tried putting it & data/info files into the c:\Tombraid folder but my PC didn't like it and told me to not to be naughty & criminal …

Oh well.... @ least the game is great 😁 Stella's walkthroughs, I've found, have a pretty good synopsis of what is going on/ is said in them - although one might miss such phraseological gems as "The true Dettox of evil" in dialogue.

Might try changing the DosGraphics setting in your GLIDOS.INI file. Quit GliDOS and load up the GLIDOS.INI file. Look under the entry for "Tomb Raider". Try changing the setting from Yes to No and save the file. Then try running it with GliDOS again. :confused: I'm trying to follow this as I'm …

I got a Ge force MX 400 graphics card + 64MB more memory... I downloaded and installed updated drivers - correct file, I think, (file wme-j5-30-1-b02) from ATI.com. I wasn't sure if I had to uninstall existing drivers first, (didn't think to create back up file in case)... now I've cocked things up anyway because I can't even install the TR game from CD.... …
