This thread can be marked as solved. As is the case with most things DOS related, my issue came down to user error. It ended up being a slight conflict with the Sound Card settings. For anyone reading this in the future, be sure that there aren't any conflicts between your hardware & software. 👍👍

I can get both music & sfx in AITD3, but AITD2 is still being finicky. 🤔

When going into the Hardware Options portion of the Install program, Sound Blaster/16 isn't an option.

In troubleshooting beforehand, I tried disabling the CPU Cache as well as starting in pure DOS, the issue remains however.

Sound Card is an OPL3-based card. System is a Toshiba Satellite Pro 335CDT w/ 266 Mhz CPU. Other games do work when in MS-DOS Mode. NA CD Version.

No matter what I do I can't seem to get SFX to work in Alone in the Dark 2 & 3. To clarify, when run through Win 98se, I get both music & sfx, just not through MS-DOS Mode. Any help will be greatly appreciated. 👍👍

I'm currently trying to run Duke Nukem 3D via DOSBox ECE and am running into a DOS/4GW error. I have a couple questions? Can AWE32 be used in DOSBox and/or should I change the IRQ from 7 to 5? I'm thinking it's related to the audio settings not being quite right? Any help will be appreciated.

After troubleshooting a bit, I've determined that at least in my case, I needed to disable Printer Port (LPT1). Also Windows was trying to be helpful and was messing with the SET BLASTER variable.

Any idea on how to get them to initialize the driver without needing to run Quake first?

I have a Toshiba Satellite 335CDT and am having an odd bug with Wolf3D and Spear of Destiny with initializing Digital Sounds. When running them from Boot, I get everything except Digital Sounds. If I run Quake first, then I get Full Sound. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
