Strangley enough dosbox does list "Fireface 800 MIDI" but the listing I need is "Fireface 800 MIDI (GSIF low latency)", so it would appear that windows is aware of the device, it's just not including the (GSIF low latency) identification which is the listing provided to my software sampler. cheers …

Thanks, but how do I make the device available? The RME FF800 is listed as a device in Printers and devices, and also under "sound" in Devices. It is very confusing. Anything else I can try? cheers Bryan

I have tried all the permutations I could think of, and also tried yours again, thanks, but no joy. If I knew where dosbox collates midi, perhaps I could also find "Fireface 800 midi (GSIF low latency ) and point it to dosbox. About to search the computer. cheers Bryan

hi, i am happy with the size of my applications window under dosbox, but I would like it to always open in a fixed position on the display. i presume this is x and y axis, so is there a way to lock that in the Dosbox config file, or is it something i have to address with the video card? Thanks …

Thank you all gentlemen, Texture is now up and running and being viewed for the first time in colour. It came out around 1982, and I have been using it daily since 1984 on a 286 Laptop I am very grateful Bryan h 😁 😁 😁

Sorry ... you will need this song file to test Place in the same dir as app ... in texture type "ff" then enter which will load song file. Only two modes in this program access either by "tab" key Go to track "T" pressing the "v" key will open track to notes Curser up & down should play a sound. …

Ok ... fine the program is attached. I am availanle on my hotmail at any time. To open type "tx" I have also attached the help file with all key controls listed. "P" = play ,as does the space bar. Help file attached to next post reply thanks bh
