Should it be looking in DOS for Smartdrive? I see that my autoexec is looking in C:\Windows and this is a DOS game, do I need to point it at the version in the DOS directory?

So re-enable that line and see what it does? I’m also looking at a list of arguments for that command to see what I can maybe optimize.

Okay this is my current config.sys and autoexec.bat. I commented out the line about EMM and ran the memory command. RE: Exault, I don't use Windows, all my daily drivers are Macs 😁 I am using MS-DOS 6.22 and the Unisound drivers for the Vibra 16. I am a girl-user 😜

Update based on yesterday and this morning. MCI CD Audio is installed in Windows, no luck. DOS CD Player does not play through the sound card, only from the headphone jack of the CDROM drive. One more quick question-can I run Unisound drivers in DOS and official in Windows? I am in the middle of a live stream playthrough of Ultima 6 and I don’t want to mess up what I do have working - getting it all balanced for output to OBS was tricky .

Yes. Note that your Vibra 16 model isn't PnP. I am painfully aware :P I messed with Win 95 to test the NIC (yes 95 on a 486 honks hard) and I know that the NIC is PnP but it had no idea what to do with the sound :P It will prolly be the weekend before I can pick this back up again b/c work. Will …

I do get Windows 3.11 system sounds however - does that mean it is finding something somewhere? Or there is some sort of driver on there but it is the wrong one? Which one of those drivers do I need? The one that says "Vibra16?"

How does that work though when I do want to put an XTIDE in that socket and get large disk supports etc? Do I have to choose one or the other? Remote Boot is disabled in the DOS setup program for the card.
