ScummVM is much better except for perhaps Full Throttle. The path to the resource files is set wrong it should point to the monkey.000 and monkey.001 files

If you are using Q+E then remember there are 2 targets, for normal mi1cd and for the floppy versions/monkey madness. If nothing happens then you've probably given it the wrong path. But yes, ScummVM is a better option, get ScummVM Quick and Easy if you want to make it totally painless ;

Try turning hardware acceleration off, also try windowed display. Create a string value in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Grim Fandango\v1.0". Call it good_times and set it to true. Then choose dibsection windowed display when in Grim.

When I was first getting LoomCd to work with VdmSound a friend said that he'd had some success with disabling digital audio. When I tried this in daemon tools it did nothing, but when I did it manually in device manager it worked great. I've no idea why this was the case, it may have been fixed in …

Mounting in Daemon Tools works better with LoomCd, especially when you disable digital audio. When you disable da though dont do it from daemon tools (by ticking analog audio) do it on the drive properties in device manager.

You only need to enable low level cd support for LoomCd. To stop the stuttering and glitches you might need to disable digital audio on your cd drive too.

Its dead because the main LFnetwork server that hosts Mojo has been down for the past few days. Everything's been fixed and the server (and thus the Q+E site) will be back up late tonight/tomorrow.

The cutscenes problem is well known, its due to a bug with the SMUSH engine used in CMI. To fix it change the directsound acceleration level to basic, then play the game. Start> Run> Type dxdiag Click on the sound tab Lower the sound acceleration level to basic acceleration Exit dxdiag Run CMI Or …

Ha, its not too bad, its certainly a step in the right direction for LEC, people have been wanting new windows interpreters for years. I was pleasantly surprised by the graphics filters too, its a good pack and most importantly it all works out of the box without any setup, good stuff.

MI cd version has an entirely new interpreter and different resource files to the disk version, a normal copy of mi cd will never, ever ask for diskxx. If its asking for disk9 then it cant be the cd version. If kilroyj does have files up to disk08.lec then it isnt the cd version. The cd version has …

Probably because a DOTT sequel isnt on the cards at the moment whereas sequels to Full Throttle and Sam and Max are and if you look at what Tom Sarris keeps hinting at in interviews a Grim Fandango sequel may be planned too.

No I didnt hardcode the locations, I only hardcoded the .exe names and he has the right .exe name.
