Hi there. Shader Model 2.0 was introduced at the end of 2002 with the release of DirectX 9, right? How widespread were new shaders in games particularly released in 2003? Can you think of any examples of these games? Halo is my only thought.

FX5600 closer to the GeForce 3 Ti200 according to the graph, leave alone GeForce4 Ti 4200.. It feels like the FX5600 is just an overclocked version of FX5500. The 5600 Ultra must be catching up with the Ti 4200?

Using single 256MB stick is going to be helpful, Windows 9x installation with 512MB or more tends not to work. What are your SATA settings in BIOS ? SATA pots have to be set into IDE compatible mode, AHCI, RAID and "enhanced" will not work and cause problems. There's RLOEW's SATA driver but I have …

Non native on LCD is almost always a disaster. Should be a way to configure custom resolution in driver somewhere, do that 1024x768 looks fine and crisp on this monitor, just like native, compared to other resolutions. I think the problem is with sharpness and focus. I didn't figured it out yet …
