Just an FYI for anyone running a Promise ATA controller on a 486: after updating to a more recent Promise BIOS, my Ultra66 adapter stopped recognizing the connected drives and no would no longer install its BIOS on POST. I suspect newer BIOS versions (v2.0?) may contain i586 instructions that render …
