My ASUS P5NT WS didn't POST with with a QX6850 Intel Core 2 Extreme and thought it was the mobo. After buying a replacement that has a hot USB and shuts down prior full boot I just threw the CPU in the first board and it booted! This is supposed to be a supported CPU. I am pretty sure that you can do auto hiding of partitions with Smart BootManager when I was using it 20 years ago. As for a common partition visible to both, it's easy--make a FAT16 partition.

I got a Number Nine 9GXE PCI . It seems to be stock 3MB ram but there is 1MB FPM and 2 MB faster CMOS VRAM. Is mixing this RAM type going to slow down the ZIP VRAM?

I cooked (and by cooked, I mean let the magical pixie smoke out) a core two duo because I was yelling at the FF post code on my ASUS P5NT WS without a heat sink. I forgot to turn it off when my kid was being a brown star and wasn't supposed to be anywhere near me.

That Xilinx FPGA looks suspiciously like it's acting as PCI-PCI bridge, I'd suspect there are actually two GPUs under the big heatsink, each with their own RAM (four chips).
