Sometimes when I start missions, the game acts as if the joystick is being moved left and right randomly. It acts this way in in-game menus as well, but only during a mission. What's wrong? Thanks.

My joystick works fine in DosBOX until I start increasing cycles to around 30000, then it starts acting as if it were being pulled when centered. At around 50000 it is very erratic, as if the joystick were being moved around randomly. This is in dynamic core (I wish I could get 50000 in normal :P ) …

i guess it must be something in my autoexec.bat or config.sys files. i did a fresh install of windows and everything's fine. i've been trying to get into enhanced mode on a setup from a hard drive from a very old computer of mine. i'll mess with the boot files, thanks for all your help!

yea, with the ykhwong build i tried the tseng drivers and about everything else in that thread, with no luck, including the svga drivers that come with win31.

😜 i'd play a port if one was like the original, the ones that claim to be use sdl, which makes tinny sound, and for some reason doom95 plays sounds too deep. i tried your suggestion, and the startup screen just stopped at "I_StartupTimer()" again. thanks for the replies. -jake
