Yes: using shareware it won't install under XP (Runtime error 220), but if I install it in Dosbox then run it in XP I get a different error message (something about 'cannot find data'). Is there a specific compatability setting I need for it to run in XP, or should it work just on its own?

At least one of the Catacombs series of games uses the border. It changes colour whenever you are attacked, which is useful when you are hit from behind and can't see the monster.

Yes it does, sort of. Setting it to slug mode slows the music down to the correct speed in game, but it's still fast on all of the menus and when the game is paused, which when you think about it is as good as perfect. Thanks!
