Azrael`s Tear

in DOS
OK, DOSBox 0.62 (different cycles) - game works, but creepy - skips during movement and so on VDMSound on Windows XP - works way too fast with speedset and VDMSound - crashes with speedset and WinXP (different speed options) - OK, but no sound...

AitD 3

in DOS
Alone in the Dark 3. Ok, I can manage to run the game just fine - with CD audio working, but I have a huge problem. I can not go into running mode (fast double click forward). The only time I can do that is while using DOSBox 0.61, which is not good for me (working choppy).

Re: Running 7th Guest under Win95/98/NT/2000/XP

in DOS
It is true, but movement in the game was jerky when I tested it and changing cycles/frameskip did not help to achieve truly smooth performance. It`s working cool under DOSBox 0.61 with framerate 12500 or something, I`ve just tested it two days ago. In DOSBox 0.60 it WAS working choppy, also I had …

Re: Return of the Phantom

I`ve tried everything and I have the same problem as priestlyboy . Someone was saying, that Return of the Phantom and Dragonsphere have the same running problem, because of the same core. But, with VDMSound 1.1.0 I`ve managed to run Dragonsphere (with speech and all) and RotP is giving "Error "-32" …

Re: Return of the Phantom

I can`t install it from anywhere at all. If I am trying to run it: DOSBox - crashes and quits right from the start (the same with installation) VDMSound - "taking advantage of extra memory" appears and lasts forever (installation crashes) native DOS - the same as with VDMSound (installation quits) …

Re: Game releases

in Milliways
Yeah, I knew about that one, but they don`t give the complete information I desire, also some data in their database is wrong (like year of release of some games). What I would like is, for example: Flashback: The Quest for Identity, released in 1992 for DOS on floppy disks, in 1993 rereleased on CD …

Game releases

in Milliways
Is there any site, which is dedicated to different game releases? I mean like floppy and CD version, re-releases with some changes, etc.

Re: Name games finished using VDMSound/DOSBox

in Milliways
Wow, "Menzoberranzan" is great, I used to play it so long time ago... I must relive the experience. DOSBox: Dreamweb The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes (1): The Case of the Serrated Scalpel Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender Flight of the Amazon Queen (with some music problems) VDMSound: …

Re: Flight of the amazon queen: no sound

Te te te :) Oh well I suggest playing it in dosbox I finished it without glitches and without crashes with full speech. Ran perfectly. And that was 1 month ago. Qbix, it runs great with DOSBox, but the only type of music I can choose is Roland, it plays well, but I get some weird music (playing …

Re: Unfinished Adventure Games

in Milliways
OTOH, the "Warcraft Adventures" was no big loss. Budget animation cut-scenes being done by people in a far-away country that knew virtually nothing about Warcraft and a storyline about the poor Orcs being oppressed by the terrible humans (apparently we were supposed ignore everything that happened …
