Well, I have thought about getting another ATi 128 pro. But I got this from ATI. "emulated DOS mode through Windows XP will not allow this product to work properly in a DOS environment." So I don't want to get another card and experience the same. It works fine in Windows. John

Well, I found out the warranty on my Dell is expired so I am going to get another card. I was looking at a 3D FORCE B-16. John

I have been working with the manufactor-Dell on this. It seems my video card is bad. They are replacing it. So I will everyone know if that fixes it. John

I have posted this concern on other sites dealing with the ATI rage 128 PRO. I guess another solution would be another video card. But I don't want to get another and have the same issue. JOhn

Sounds difficult to add win9X after the fact. I have presented this issue with ATI. It is not just a Age of Rifles problem. JOhn

No never heard that that. I have a Win95 cd. It sounds like have Win 95 or 98 and Windows Xp is the best way to go.

I get the demo of Age of sail to run within Windows. My age of Rifles works fine on another computer (Win95) so It is not the game John

I used a Windows 98 boot disk w/ cd support. Then I use VBETEST and got the same results with the MS-dos disk. That is the tests work. So I decided to see if the program would install. I ran the vbetest it noted VESA 2.0 with -64K memory. When I ran UVCONFIG and UNIVBE both said no supported Super VGA chip detected. JOhn

Well I tried Pefect Generals II it did not run. But it did say My VESA Bios is 2.0, mem 256K. This game requires a SVGA video Card. I did get Jagged Alliance to run.

Well, I have tried Extreme Assault, The CIvil War, and no go. On the Civil war it runs the video then returns to the Windows Window. So not sure if Any dos games will run. JOhn

From AtIi they say in emulated DOS mode through Windows XP will not allow this product to work properly in a DOS environment. So I don't want to do. The card seems to work good in Windows JOhn

I ran a program that VESASPPED that ID the video adapter as VESA SuperVGA BIOs 2.0 Video Ram -64K ATI RAge. I wonder if the -64k video ram is the issue?
