I recommend 'creating' (not really) your own format to make the OSes know that 'this file is for boxedwine' much like they can do with java and execs and mono. Does this work with the host filesystem? And does it allow WINEPREFIX and winetricks (sometimes necessary to install prerequisites)? Basically, i think a emulator like this could benefit from at least some inbuilt commands to manipulate the wine environment in a 'pre-boot' fashion, much like DOSBox …
