Okay found out what my problem was, turns out it was really dumb. In the directory is the exe and a batch file, the batch file tells the game what sound card your using before it loads up. so when i just ran the exe it didnt even try to enable a card. Was really enjoying this game but all of a sudden the sound stopped working, didnt change any audio variables in the config file, and also tried setting the initial cycles lower as was suggested somewhere in the forums, any one else ever have this problem? Running Win XP SP 2 btw
