Re: New sound card project: AWE64 Legacy

Just a bit of patience, guys :) Right after we crossed our fingers for the pirates, they've released the card and it tracked as shipped on June 11. Once it arrives and we finish the tests, we'll order the production boards. Sounds great! I am just worried that the will be bought up before I can get …

Mechwarrior 2 series - 3dfx & Titanium

Greetings, I have a copy of MechWarrior 2 Diamond Monster 3d version disc and an ATI Rage version disc, and I am in the process of collecting the other versions, including Mercs et al. I have a Voodoo3 in my system, in addition to a Voodoo2. The goal is to buy a 2nd Voodoo2 for SLI and a Voodoo1, in …

Re: New sound card project: AWE64 Legacy

I theorize that Solar Winds REQUIRES an OPL chip, and the lack of such a chip on the AWE323 PnP causes lock ups. I am very excited about the AWE64 Legacy having the OPL3 included. You know, I think that could be some kind of conflict, or an incompatibility with PnP or your card's chipset Perhaps. I …

Re: CT4620 & I/O Drive

I just examined my two drives and there are a few differences, whereas most of the connectors are the same. I also discovered that my CT4620 is the original SB Live! card. I also have a CT4780. I don't need 5.1 as I will be using a stereo receiver rather than PC speakers with front/center/rear jacks …

CT4620 & I/O Drive

Greetings, I am installing both an AWE32 (For DOS and WFW) and a SB Live! (Windows 9x) in my Pentium III rig (The Ultimate DOS-WFW-Win9x PC.) I have some Platinum I/Os lying around: a white Audigy drive and a black X-Fi drive. These drives are pretty much the exact same drive as the IR capable Live! …

Re: New sound card project: AWE64 Legacy

I'm saving some money on the side for this card. I am working on my ultimate DOS/WFW 3.11/Windows 98 SE rig in anticipation. I am using my AWE32 PnP and Roland SCC-1 (midi jacks aren't working so no MT-32 right now) until I can get one of these cards. AWE64 Legacy + Dreamblaster X2 is the goal for …

Re: Scaler for retro-to-4k TV

Greetings, I am using a Sewell Hammerhead on a smaller 4k TV ever since I discovered that my series 6 TCL 4k TV stretches VGA resolutions (the series 5 does not.) The problem with the Hammer head is that is cuts off the bottom line or so (can't see the flashing cursor or the bottoms of q's and g's …
