I wonder whether there would be this discussion at all if harekiet and moe didn't post at the same time, cause harekiet said that dosbox already does audio "scaling" but because moe posted at the same time he didn't noticed what harekiet said 😉

So the horrible distortion happens when Dragonsphere trying to play speech, too? I actually only now tried to see how speech is played in Phantom CD, until now I only noticed the laughter because I focused on the floppy version. Why does this problem happen, anyway? Very weird, especially …

We obviously cannot test it in dosbox cause D000 is not free in dosbox. And on a real machine FRAME=D000 is used as default so it works.

i think placing it in a doc is not a good solution. I think munt should install itself into it's own folder and keep it's files in it. Dosbox with inbuilt mt32 emulator keeps all the mt files in dosbox folder so there are no problems with it even if you are not an administrator.

are you sure? i think it takes ages only the first time when dosbox prepares waveformcache .raw files.

The manuals say they are the same. Why shouldn't i believe them. 😉 Actually there may be some differences even when listening to different versions of MT-32 modules, different bugs, but I am not that pedantic. And no i haven't done anything to my hardware, just unscrewed them cause of curiosity. 😀

LAPC-I and CM-32L have exactly the same amount of samples. I have both (and MT-32 too). btw - i totaly don't get you. why don't you just launch that torment or what ever for a week or so and one day you will wake up and it will be there... hot and ready ;>

I think we should make this thread sticky cause it is actually CM-32L emulation that is better than MT-32 emulation and people should use cm32l rom, not mt32 rom.

Great Hierophant: it would be great if you could ask him to make another screenshot of digger after eating a cherry. Cause after eating a cherry brown turns into yellow. So i wonder what would happen in his case, when he already has yellow before eating a cherry. 😕
