Re: Settings only GUI panel?

BTW, I also wanted to mention how hilarious it is that one your arguments is "don't you think a million people have said the same thing before you". Just shows how out of touch you are. A million people are saying it because its an obvious flaw. After that no other argument makes any difference. …

Re: Settings only GUI panel?

Yes, moving the config file every version is pretty much an attempt to drive off all but the most hard core users. It's amazing how many programmers complain about bad software when a command in the drop down menus isn't where it should be and this piece of crap moves its entire settings structure …

Re: Settings only GUI panel?

Yes, but why? The question is why should even the most hard core user have to search for a config file and edit it by hand? Why is a settings panel so offensive? You know, DOS software had them. Most games required an install program before launch. Are you saying DOSBox needs to be more primitive …

Settings only GUI panel?

Installing Windows 1.0x

Has anyone else tried installing this? I found the original disks for both 1.01 and 1.04. I've mounted them as A:. Everything seems oK until its time to copy the file 5.Suddenly the installer kicks me back a few steps and goes into an infinite loop. Is there anything I need to do to make this work? …

I only have NTSF, thats why i thought a CF boot would be best (off a 160mb card) so that I would restore straight to the CF (and yes the bios supports. In fact, I cant stop the bios from wanting to boot off any memory card in my slots when inserted). I've been googling but I've only found a way to …

Re: DOSBox with antique tape drive

It is a floppy controlled drive. I can't install linux, unfortunately. Too time consuming (locating a copy, partitioning, etc). Anyone know if I could do this from a regular command line with the dos software or possibly a dos boot disk? If I need to do a dos or windows 95 boot disk, is it possible …
