i've played a 3 player bloodbath in Blood over the internet no problems using DOSbox v0.72 ipxnet. I wish I recorded the video of it though, as Blood can't record multiplayer games with its DEM system 😒

They have no official Windows versions, and their official code only compiles for dos, so yes, they would be the DOS versions. On Steam, it's bundled with a protected version of DOSBox.

Welcome to the upcoming 'Y2k38 bug' which puts 32-bit stuff at the limits. Hopefully we'll migrate to at least 256-bit CPUs with a chain of transparent VMs down to 32-bit by then.

What version of Doom? Some older versions have suckier DMX in them (the sound engine Doom used), and Hexen was derived off of Doom version 1.2 iirc.

in any case, if it is Doom95, at least you have the .WAD. Doom and Doom 2 .wad files can work with shareware DOS executables. (Not final doom though)
