by default Win9x controllers will only give you 2-axis and 2 buttons in DOS. Is it a bad thing then? I mean I will be limited (no extra buttons, rudder, hat, etc.), is that what are you saying? I prefer SD, it is cheaper, faster, easier to put also into laptop for data transfer. I agree, however I don't see many IDE to SD adapters listed. Question: Can I use CF to SD Adapters instead? The price of CF cards are ridiculously high these days.

I see, well the system seems to be working great, and I guess I can live with it: as long as it is still plugged-in (but powered off) it can retain the CMOS data.
