hah, when it came out I played it on my PII/400 + Voodoo2/sli... funny thing is that I got it and did not like it in the beginning so I just did not play it... then I was hearing how great it was, so I gave it another shot and finally played it (yeah it was awesome allright 🤣)

above the com port headers in the mobo, there must be a ps2 mouseport header... why not invest in one and just throw away that ancient serial mouse? not really a direct solution you yer prob rg100, but a better one in the long run...

nope! this is a common "mistake" IMHO, that consoles look worse etc... well... (xbox live costs money, psn is free btw) *I* personally do not care about gfx. I *do care* about games though. On pc's you cannot play God of War, you cannot play Bayonetta, you cannot play Darksiders, you cannot play …

from what I see GTX480 and 470 got released, they are faster than ATI's soluion (at least not the sinlge-board-sli ones) .... I have stepped down pc gaming, you just spend TOO MUCH and never get to play awesome games like the x360/ps3 have... I am console-only now in current-gen gaming 😁

nah, I don't care to run it in a modern pc with a glide wrapper... the game just looks for a voodoo1 , I have even applied the voodoo2 patch but still it does not work... seems like it is hard-coded to specific 3dfx models... 🙁

win3.11 had problems with FAT32 in my system (or the large HDD I don't know for sure) I have no intention or need to any kind of windows, I have setup a pci usb card that if needed I load it's drivers and transfer files.

actually this mobo behaves awesome under DOS, never had any probs... the "quirks" I was referring are software ones, I used my own custom stand-alone DOS version ripped fron wi98SE - no windows at all. I will search for the bios if you get the same mobo - or rip it from my mobo , I cannot remember …
