Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Any Windows NT/2K/XP/... system with NVidia 6000 series or earlier ( NV3 to NV44 ) GPUs. SIV will not report NVidia clocks on Windows 9X systems . Given what I clearly specified then I can't understand how you concluded this, I suspect wishful thinking . No, it's the classic TL;DR ;) But now you …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I miss GPU/MEM clocks. It's the only feature I care about for graphics cards. I assume it's doable. So not an issue with identifying it as a 5900. All things are doable if you have infinite time and an infinite budget! As I clearly specified " SIV is designed for Windows NT ". I somehow came to the …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Looks good, there's just not enough space to list all "modes" for 8-bit samples. There's a problem with identifying a GeForce 5900 in this computer. Thank you for the report and if you hover over the Mono + Stereo + there should be a tooltip that shows the full text, is there? I could remove/ …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I will test it on the YMF719 during the weekend, but on my other system (Intel Advanced/EV motherboard with an integrated ViBRA) it shows nothing. A possibly important difference, it's an 95 OSR2 system. EDIT: the "Wave" version of the previous beta reports something. As for the enumerations etc. I …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

It looks exactly like what Cool Edit Pro reported, and it's what I've expected. I've tested it with WAVE files with each of these sample rates and all of them worked. I was hoping, Yamaha driver is smart enough to not report the 8/16/32/48 kHz sample rates if the card doesn't have the second …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Unfortunately, there's no value in the registry for the 98. I've forgotten, 9x uses a totally different driver than 2000 :( Another question. Does SIV report anywhere maximum sample rate for playback and capture of sound cards in Windows 9x? I was hoping MS System Info, DxDiag or DxCapsViewer would …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I gave the Permedia 2 another try. It looks like all of these M/N/P parameters are write-only. I poked around, and their offsets never return anything. But I've seen in previous posts you already know that. I've searched a bit and found some Permedia 2 drivers source code. The Windows driver from …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Not really, as I recall around 27-Aug-2019 I found the attached and did my best to get SIV to report it. Do I understand it correct: the parameters are in ROM and there's no ROM Base Address, so you can't find them? FWIW, HWiNFO 6.2.2 for DOS also reports ROM Base Address as not available. I'm not …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I have a question about Permedia 2 support. SIV reports memory clock 100 MHz for mine and core clock 90 Mhz. PowerStrip 3.90 reports 80 MHz memory clock and 53.33 MHz core clock. Reviews on the Internet mention typically 83 MHz, but there were apparently boards with 90 MHz core clock. @red-ray - can …

Re: Aztech Sound Galaxy cards

What's the difference between the Multimedia Pro 16 ABI and ABO? According to some posts, they seem to use the same FCC ID MMSN850, but there's no information how to tell them apart. Main difference between this cards is on presents of IDE interface on ABI and missing it on the ABO. All other specs …
