Interesting. So the Bali32 and the 2Themax cards were both available with 110MHz RAMDACs? I didn't know that. Other than the different RAMDACs, have you noticed any other physical differences between your card and the Bali32? Have you tried using a Bali32 BIOS with Bali32 driver package?

There are only a handful of EISA chipsets for 486 class systems. Unless your board has one, then that slot is guaranteed to not be EISA (despite what the silkscreen claims).

In theory, the correct triangle to align with is the larger one on the outer edge of the PCB. However, when you're dealing with jerry rigged cheapskate parts made with scab labour, who really knows. To be safe you could consult the 5x86 pdf manual and use a multimeter to see which pins go where.

5 minutes seems awfully long to load Windows. It should be more like 5 seconds. I’ve seen this kind of hang when there are driver issues…usually related to network, but sometime the mouse.

Yes, it can run it without fan and heat sink at 33. It should run cooler than a normal 33 since it should use a smaller die process. Almost 5MB/sec, but yeah that seems off. On the other hand, speedsys is not at all a reliable measure of anything really.
