iso mounting software (NOT daemon tools) with cdda support?

in Milliways
Hello there! I am looking for a simple software to mount iso images (ccd, cue+bin, etc) for windows xp. I am running a minimal XP, fully compatible with DOS games controlling tunning processes, priority, etc, to get full-speed smoth scrolling with VDM. This software should be able to access cdda …

setting VDM DOS resolution

in DOS
As you know, win xp (and every NT) includes the dos VDM to provide ms-dos apps support. The problem is that vdm starts fullscreen games in a default resolution of 720x400@70hz, wich my monitor doesn't like. How can I change the default VDM resolution? There must be a way... DOSBOX is not what I am …

Setting Dosbox refresh rate for 720x400 mode

Hello there again! I finally got double buffering working in dosbox! So no more tearing here... Well, it seems DOSBOX starts in full screen at a 720x400@70Hz resolution, wich causes some jerky scroll with my LCD monitor. I can set other fullscreen modes, souch as 640x480, 800x600... and since they …

in DOS

in DOS
Hello there! I just recently acquired a new eeebox computer (intel atom 1.6Hgz, 1GB ram, intel GMA950...) and I was wondering if someone has ever tried installing and running MS-DOS natively on new/actual computers like this. I suppose modern graphics chipsets are somehow compatible with MS-DOS BIOS …

Re: VSYNC in DosBox (Mac OSX & OpenGL)

well, nice to hear from you! Actually, I am not interested into writing the code myself: I just hoped Vsync was supported by now. DOSBOX is a fun program, I have enough programming at work. Most DOS games I like are AMIGA conversions. so I'll stick to UAE wich of course supports vsync on an OpenGL …

Re: VSYNC in DosBox (Mac OSX & OpenGL)

what about Linux? I know SDL 1.2.x won't let refresh rate configuration, but maybe someone god it working with vsync on dga/framebuffer/whatever... Vsync wasnt't been added to the Windows port??? C'mon...it can't be true: the patch is there since 2005!

VSYNC in DosBox (Mac OSX & OpenGL)

Hello there I have been reading about augnober's patch for VSYNC in DosBox (I can't stand tearing: it makes scrolling games ugly and lame). I am on Mac OSX 10.5 (intel) and using DosBox 0.72 to run dos games/demos. Apparently, augnober patched the code a lot of time ago, so I guess DosBox 0.72 DOES …
