Answered in the other thread, but basically, Nvidia cards don't play nice with the old ALi chipsets. There's not much you can do about that. Sometimes they can be made to work, but it's generally a lot easier to just swap it out for a different card that's known to work better with those boards. …

What about finding a fan that hooks up to 4-pin Molex connector? Just bypass the onboard connector entirely... Unfortunately, there's not much besides video cards that use that small type connector, and even many of the aftermarket coolers use either the standard size 3-pin, or a Molex.

Works fine for me using Opera. I usually get Nvidia drivers off Guru3D, though. Their site is easier to deal with, especially when looking for older driver revisions.

Yes. The 8MB has fewer memory chips soldered on board. Mine's missing the 8 chips along the top on the back of the card, I'd assume most others using the reference design would be the same.
