also, if you still have the old RTC, you might consider modding it... and fixing the bent/broken pins... ymmv. I'm in Belgium too. I still have the original RTC: it's a Benchmarq bq3287AMT. Some of its pins are slightly bent and I might have even broken off one or two pins in 2016. No idea, too …

While 2000 might be more stable, it is also a much worse platform to run anything you'd wanna run on a P100. It is specially bad at running DOS games which were the norm when the P100 was a relevant processor. NT4 it's a better match, but for gaming it is even worse at DOS than Windows 2000 I don't …

I did the test bench setup and the system booted! I turned it back off, and took out the hard drive. Two of the pins on the back of the drive were bent. No wonder the board would not detect the drive. I bent them upright again, and installed the drive. After I powered on the system, it did 'see' the …

worst case scenario you can remove it once more and short the ~RCL pin to the ground pin with a wire. It would, though I'm not sure it will make your board POST again. That document states it is an RTC module with an integral Lithium cell, which basically means it is an RTC with a battery jammed in the package. Anyway, most boards did have jumpers to reset it - something like CLR CMOS could be written near it. Without a good picture of the board outside of the …
