I wouldn't say that DosBox will NEVER have printer emulation. Perhaps there is some game out there that can only use the printer for some gameplay related function.....I highly doubt it but it's possible. In that case printer support might possibly be added. So...never say never.

On the first screenshot it looks like the game is looking for executable in the SOUND and UFOEXE directories but are unable to find them. Can you post EVERYTHING that you type into DosBox to get the above errors?

Fast Writes? How's the 6800 get power? Through a connector on the video card? Might want to try a different cable and or make sure nothing else is sharing. Might also want to use performance monitor and watch CPU/memory usage. Mabye you can find some common symptom that could explain the lockups. …

Is this the PC with Windows ME? If so then what kind of sound card is it using? I don't have much experience with playing DOS games in Windows ME, just under the DOS 7.x prompt. Well the V3 supports Glide. That's the main thing. So in that sense it is "better". The TNT 2 is pretty much from the same erra as the V3 so there probably isn't that much difference but I suppose it depends on what kind of TNT it is. Never heard of NVMonitor before...of course I haven't had a Geforce in my rig since early 2003. Mabye try another monitoring program like RivaTuner or something? You also might be better off asking around in the Steam forums, I really can't help with HL2 issues since "I FSCKING HATE ACTIVATION!" heh …

Odd, I could have swore that DosBox was close to 0% @ the CLI on my 2800 in earlier builds. Now after reading your comment I loaded up the latest CVS and it seems to hang around 32%. Come on. You're tellin' me you can't find a Voodoo 3 for that machine? The processor and video card are way too slow for Glide emulation, IMO. You'd be better off getting the real thing.......(Resisting mentioning the obligatory Windows ME Rant....it's a struggle...trying....trying....)
