I'd like to see someone with the biggest L2 cache compared to a smaller L2 cache compare DosBox performance. Still even if a P4 was faster than an Athlon at DosBox I still won't touch it with a ten foot pole. AMD all the way!

Yeah, "simple" isn't in 0.61. You need 0.63. If you find someone willing to compile then have 'em compile the latest CVS.

The PF monitor in Task Manager is not what you think. Get an actual PF monitor. You'll probably be suprised how little is used.

Updated 6-6-2005 Converted spreadsheet from .XLS to .XML. Uncompressed size now 3.3mb whereas with .xls it was 1.4mb. Compressed with 7-Zip/rar Self extracting: .xls=242kb .XML=134kb Added some more games and tested the XP category some more.

Nah, ultravnc has a video driver that speeds up the display. TightVNC should be fast enough tho except mabye for video/FPS.

Open the dosbox.conf file in your DosBox directory. Search for EMS= and change it to EMS=false

The best way to get IPX in a useable state is to test as many IPX DOS games as you can get your hands on. I plan on doing this but multiplayer has never been much of a turn-on to me so single-player games get almost all of my testing.

The 4GW extender probably isn't compatible with the XP stub. I've seen this before. Don't have the game but you should try the above suggestions...especially the DOS32A one. You could also try MS VPC or DosBox.
