Isn't FreeSpace 2 a Windows only game? If so then you can't use DosBox with it..... IIRC, Freespace 2 isn't a 16bit game but the installer probably is, if so you probably have corrupted CONFIG.NT and AUTOEXEC.NT files. You could try playing around with Video/Sound acceleration...might help. Also adjusting PCI latency may have an effect. Also with VSYNC ON try changing your refresh rate to a lower value.

Yeah, Guru3D has been including modified .INF's with TNT support for some time now. Haven't tested the 60+ dets on TNT hardware but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Of course there's always the usual incompatibilies that newer dets bring to older hardware but that's another story.

On a sort of related note, Today I tried running Mech2: Mercs under Cedega, had to crack the CD copy protection since for some reason Cedega couldn't see the CD. After I did that the game still didn't work, same behavior as Windows 2000/XP. 🙁

Alright, just tested with MSDOS 5 and 6.22 boot disks. Result: "File cannot be copied on itself." There. It's in 5.00, therefore it's a bug in DosBox. Geesh.

If your using DosBox v0.63 then you'll need to use DOS32a instead of DOS4GW if your using Dynamic core otherwise the game will not work.

I'll test that out but I'd consider DOS 7 just as much DOS as DOS 6.2...moreso since it's the latest MS-DOS. I definetly don't consider overwriting files with 0byte ones a good thing....I could just be crazy tho.
