I am afraid there was only NT driver, but for the price it is good collector item. Rage 128 would serve well (check for 128 bit memory), eventually some cheap Voodoo3 PCI should appear.

So I was digging into it, having myself one 128 bit Ultra and two 64 bit. The upper bound for Ultra SKUs seems to be 133/133. The fab code letter on the chip is D instead of U (UMC) of first Rage 128 Pro, but die revision is the same. There is string Rage 128 Pro GL II. What is behind the D?

The post filter makes V3 my preferred card of the generation. You get quality between high and true colors while running at 16 bit speeds. For me such 1024x768x16 always beats 800x600x32.

So you are saying a DX can be clocked higher than a GX even with EDO RAM? Experience or is there a reason why this should be? Compaq used custom memory expansion module across more products, I got mine for the same GX from their Mystique. For serious s3d gaming I would recommend madly overclocked DX. That sgram-like card is asking for it, assuming it runs at casual DX slow memory clocks.
