Normally there are little ''teeth' on the connector that prevents you from connecting power in reverse. But apparently some mobo do not have them. I never saw one of those but I read about them. Looking at the picture it was hard to see but I thought maybe yours did not have the ''teeth''.

Is this one of those mobo where the AT power connector is not Keyed? Not quite sure what would happen if the power was connected wrong ( like 2 red wires in the center) but I am pretty sure it would be bad.

If you want to emulate Arcade games it is more complicated. I find that if a game runs on Final Burn, it works best. If Final burn does not support it, I use Mame. But Then I also use a modded Xbox for emulation.

For video cards, I have never even thought someone would want to power them up from another PSU than the one that is feeding the motherboard. I bet it could work with some motherboard and/or graphic card combinations, but nowhere it is mentioned they are specifically suitable or designed for this …

I actually agree with the ''PC engineer''. Using 2 PSU on the same machine sounds like risky and bad practice. Also, I do not see how it would help for a overheating molex pin, that should signal a bad connection.

The lightning gun would be a much much better weapon if it had a shorter recharge time, or at least did more damage per shot. I know it's supposed to be used for headshots and not body shots, but headshots are so hard to get when you consider just how fast everyone moves. At least the sniper rifle …
