Can you take the front panel and connect it up the the pins and just leave the panel inside the case just to shut it up? I like it though, gives a different meaning to a sleeper build

Never knew about this system. It's not a bad case for a single CPU, it's pretty impressive as a SMP system. I'd love this as my "ultimate XP" build"

What PC is it? the splash screen only shows briefly in the whole boot process so on a fast PC it'll barely show at all. Even my 5x86 the black screen seems to show longer then the splash screen. First thing to try is remove everything accept video and 1 stick of ram. System doesn't power on? try again replacing one of the 3 each time. (and CPU if you have a spare) If you still don't get anything you know its the CPU or M/B.

It'll still be ok but airflow will be crap which will limit how epic you go But yeh, Duel sockets while awesome don't offer much for any gaming rig, did I mention they are awesome though? Yep, AWE and Win95 is perfect for this. It's fast enough for "launch titles" for Win95, Doom95, Return Fire, Diablo at a push but its more about the dos games and being in Win95 allows you use the awe at its full potential.
