Currently I am "creating" some Intros with the oldest Version os OSDM. The oldest Version of this tool works on my to DX7a Upgraded Win98SE. With DX61 the tool does not work. MGA Cards have excellent Image-Quality but poor compatibility. Stuttering, some Resolutions/Colordepth do not work properly. I recommend changing to a more compatible card.

I do not have a native MPU401i Card in my PII, therefore I need softmpu to run games that require the i-mode. Does "Sbmpu401.exe" fix something for the i-mode I require?

My first attempt to create "scene-stuff" with a demotool. Please let me know what you think. It was really fun to play with it. The music and the gfx belong to their creators. I had to upgrade to DX7 but stayed with the voodoo3 driver that is dx6.1 optimized. It was created within 30 minutes.

A Slot-Celeron 300a-433 is a pretty fine CPU for both DOS and W9x/3DFX. Lots of DOS titles work directly under Win98. For plain DOS you need to use slowdown utils. I have to admit that "cpucache" slows down really sharp. For Biomenace it's ok, but Monster Bash is too slow when displaying the " …

Thx. I would have tried Qemm9, but it reduces the 512MB to 256MB main memory.

Call me stupid, but my Celeron433 is not so fast for ScummVM, I tried to run SoftMPU in Fullscreen-Dos under running Win98se. It does not work because it does not detect the started emm386.exe memory-manger. Is there any chance to run softmpu under started Win98se? Thx Doc

My Retro-Machine has two ISA-Soundcards. ( CT4170 and GUS-Ace ) For Win9x (Win98se) I still load the CT4170 and the GUS-Drivers before starting Win98se. For Dos (Test) you should go for the ET4k Vesa-Driver and after that you can use "vesainfo" in order to see, if there are any supported true or highcolor modes. After that i alway test them with PCX-Gfx an Qview1.03.
