Also tested with 66MHz FSB? This is also a problem with the original Voodoo Graphics. DOS Games are crashing with this card at 100MHz FSB. The Pentium 2 300MHz made a difference, I can now start a time demo in Quake 3, although it does still crash, but seems related! Interesting, I wonder why only …

Thanks no the P2 350 was 100Mhz, I will try 66mhz! It's PCI so not sure why that would matter, but I will test.

Thanks for the reply, I did also test a Pentium 2 350MHz, same issue, but I think it maybe related. I will do some more checking... The Rush is such a pain!

A Voodoo 2 with 8mb is better than no Voodoo 2! The 12mb version for most games doesn't make much difference, and for the games it does, a Voodoo 3 does a better job anyway. I would enjoy it! If you pickup another 12mb version later you can sell this one.

IMHO Debian is the best option (where possible/supported) for server based platforms. We run a lot of SuSE Enterprise for SAP but I much prefer Debian.

I think only the 1mb Pentium Pro runs hot, I would think a case fan like you have setup would be ok. Your Pentium 1 heatsink is already pretty large (compared to the stock/OEM one), so a bit of airflow should be heaps.

That is a shame, but it is the right thing to do, although with all retro hardware it does die. But if you purchased working, then it should be working.

I've found a few databases of intel CPUs, I was hoping to do an auto lookup on s-spec but it looks like recent intel CPUs don't have s-spec anymore 🙁
