I did the hex edits to my original bad production run disc as well. It worked ,so it is not the .exe file that is the problem on the bad disc. I have the POD 1.x release and I can confirm it is patchable to 2.1. With the patch you can run it with glide. Can also add that Dungeon Keeper in the list is Direct3D.

Created a CD image of the disc. Inistalled Daemon Tools on the machine, mounted it and also plugged out the real CD-ROM. Only the virtual CD drive active. Same error message. Then I tried to reinstall the game,but that didn't help either. Any other tips?
