Can add Battlerace to the 3D Blaster VLB list as well. Also Time Warriors have S3 Virge support in retail release. See screenshots.

I can try, but looking at the files there are no DLL's or any other thing telling that would indicate support on the NV1 graphically, so don't get your hopes up. Virtua Cop got a separate installer for instance.

I tried a full reinstall, even the minimum setting as well. Different folder each time. No luck :( I can also add that the version of Descent 2 that is included also has a similar check for the card. The Diamond drivers did infact work. Windows is as normal with the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 drivers. Now I do not get the "No Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 detected" error, but a Incorrect CD in drive. Which I find very strange since I have the original CD. Something obvious I could be missing?

Renaming the glide2x.ovl file in C:/Windows cased a DLL not found error. So it is dynamic.

It's retail. Not sure if it's static or dynamic. It has a own folder for 3dfx drivers and hexeditor does not reveal the same as it does in your direct hardware call thread. It says: glide2x.SQRV

Just tested the game, does work with 3DFX in DOS mode (3DFX logo flashes and my Orchid card "clicks"), but it looks like crap 😜

Getting that card to test Destruction Derby won't be within the next week atleast. Had a bid for a Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 2MB for 5 euro (which I think it's worth) after negociating with the seller to ship to my country. Then some idiot with Ebay bidding bot comes in and swoops it up 1 second …

All those cards listed can't run on any other API than Direct3D (except OpenGL, but that is highly unlikely). My guess to why some cards were left out was because they lack hardware features which the game required.

Final Fantasy VII was always a Windows game and there were never any static linked Windows games. There were a demo that was Glide only, but on release it had changed to Direct3D.

Flight Unlimited had CGL support atleast. Destruction Derby 1 had an OEM release for the Diamond Stealth 3D 2000, and it requires that card to even start (video will come when I get my Diamond S3 card). Destruction Derby 2 was only accelerated on the Matrox Mystique. You can run older games …
