You'll get more users of DOSBox if an up-to-date version is available via YUM or apt-get/synaptic on a frequent basis. I'm not sure whether one of Dosbox' goal is to get as much users as possible. why not try it? But supposedly it can't work since the legacy support for 16bit programs has been gutted out. I may be wrong and remember stuff wrong. Edit: VDMS itself could work since it is a 32bit program but the ntvdm part has been gutted out or something like that I meant.

you probably have to use a scaler and/or set a higher default resolution for Dosbox. Many LCDs can't handle the default Dos resolution at fullscreen and either display black or a warning or both 😀

well, Freecell works for me with the 0.65 release and of course with CVS, so I assume Win32s works somehow. But yes the installer crashes on the Freecell part on DOSBox 0.65, but CVS works fine.
