None of my K7 pro (5 boards) work with 1GHz tbird. My 2 GA-7IXE and my 1 GA-7IX do. Those 8 Boards are AMD750 equipped. Some of my K7 pros at least are bypass enabled, so are my 7IXE (not my 7IX) the 7IX has a 99.9MHz FSB, the others are at 100.9MHz (which explains their better results at "stock" …

Thank you for the feedback, I think that such psu, if the label is honest, should be used in a socket a system. I'm no PSU guru, nor did I put it through an oscilloscope test. But the brand should be reliable, and the power delivered is good for those systems. I bought it specifically for slot A …

Actually it's nearly Thunderbird 1000 performance under quake 3 ! And I think the 833 is faster than the tbird 1000 under UT. This system is starving FSB Mhz 😀

Thunderbird adds around 3% at 650 MHz up to 12% at 1000 MHz on Quake 3. Fun fact, in Quake 1, in 640x480, the K7 1000 MHz is actually a little bit faster than the A0 1000 MHz (81 vs 78 FPS) 😁 (all this with super bypass, without it everything goes down a notch given the memory bottleneck)
