It is definitely the wrong heatsink, it isn't for any P4 or any Athlon socket 462 that I have ever seen. There is an easy fix though, just file those extended bits down to be flat with the thermal pad area.

Amiga 500 in 1992. 2 Years later and it was a 486 dx-2 66. I still have the Amiga, but the original PC went to a friend then either passed on elsewhere or dumped. The 486 I recently built, currently with a 486 dx-2 66 in it, blows my original machine away in performance terms.

I searched that entire 486 motherboard database that's in Germany, couldn't find it. In fact can't find any 486 mobo with only 2 PCI slots. You are just going to have to hook it up and test it. Run Cachechk to see it it has real cache or not.
