Re: Glidos FMV pack choppy playback fix

Did that as well. Tried disabling/forcing fddshow, LAV video, enabling/disabling hardware decoding and lots of other stuff. It's okay now, really. Nothing worked for 2 months, and since this solution got rid of the problem, I'm not gonna complain.

Re: Glidos FMV pack choppy playback fix

Nope, tried that already countless times. Tried that on a physical machine (Win7 x64) and two virtual ones (Vista x64 and XP). In all cases I tried running without codecs (the program would not play the video), and installing K-Lite codec pack (both x86 and x64 versions). The files played fine in …

Glidos FMV pack choppy playback fix

A couple of months ago, I found that using the high-quality FMV pack in Glidos would result in choppy video playback (15 fps instead of 30), while the standard, low-quality TR1 video files would play just fine. I'm happy to say that I've found the cause and solution. At first, I thought it was a …

Re: TR1 Music Playing In Incorrect Places

If you know how to create a Mixed-Mode CD, create one. Drag all the TR CD files into the "data" area, and the mp3 files from the Audio Pack into the Audio area. It will burn the CD files and convert the mp3 ones to AudioCD format. It works best if you save it (or convert to) a .cue/.bin image file, …

FVM pack low fps (Windows 7)

I've found that Glidos FMV pack has some frame rate issues on Windows 7 (currently using x64 version with SP1). Usually it's around 15ish fps, regardless whether it's the DirectX or OpenGL renderer (because videos are handles directly by Glidos), windowed or full screen, AERO turned on or off. …

Re: Tomb Raider Menu Delay Issue

Yea yea take your time, I'm sure it'll be brilliant. For a future version, would it be possible to have Glidos run this special DOSBox version with parameters? For example, there's a parameter -noconsole, which runs DOSBox without log window, or -exit parameter, which closes DOSBox automatically …

Re: Redbook emulation (analog CD Audio)

Ok, after some huge research, I managed to find quite a good solution to this. The problem exists because our dearest Microsoft (who even asked them to! -.-) changed the way sound card drivers work in Vista/7/8. The systems no longer support analog audio at all, so it's all handled digitally (on a …

Re: Analog audio on DOSBox

Thanks for the reply. Well... it sure would be a lot better if it worked on any image or virtual disc software (like DAEMON tools). Especially since a modified version of DOSBox is used with Glidos, and I can't just replace it to a different one easily. Oh well. Will leave it for now, hopefully some …

Analog audio on DOSBox

I have a problem with DOXBox and analog audio to report. If a game uses analog audio (Mixed-mode CD using Audio CD music tracks), DOXBox will play the music, but only on maximum volume. Lowering the volume in-game does nothing. It makes the music really loud compared to the rest. I've tested it on 2 …

Re: Redbook emulation (analog CD Audio)

Right. That's what I wanted to know. Well... in any of those settings (Control CD, Audio Pack or None) the music is always played at maximum volume. Anyway... I'll just leave it for now. If there's any future version of either Glidos or DOSBox which could do something about it, I'll gladly update.
