Windows isn't blocking it out of spite or because it thinks you shouldn't be running it or whatever, it genuinely can't run it, since it's a 16 bit program and they don't work on 64 bit versions of Windows.

Don't run it as admin if you want to use overlays (that means you have to run the overlays as admin too). Evolve has the game listed as working with overlay https://www.evolvehq.com/games/2543 Since that supports Steam too you could try that.

That's a different issue unfortunately, though I have seen games that simply do not work at all when the controller is connected. With so many issues, starting to wonder if the drivers just FUBAR and will never get fixed. Microsoft QA really has taken a nose-dive with Windows 10, so many niggly …

Indeed that does seem to be the case according to the controller test, but what I can't wrap my head around is why changes to Z axis are affecting the X axis in so many games?

So by now the fact that Microsoft stuffed up the Xbox One controller drivers is well known. I've been looking into ways to possibly fix this with some games, and yes I know I can just use the 360 pad, but at some point Microsoft is going to discontinue those and besides I rather like the chatpad on …

So I'm getting this error when trying to install the patch to this game, in both Windows 10 and Windows XP. http://i.imgur.com/OJDA3yV.png The only thing I can think is that the patch is for the US release and I have the EU release. Does anyone have a link to the patches for the EU version? Thanks.

Anyone tried with dgVoodoo2 yet? You can skip making the registry keys, game doesn't need them.

Indeed, tried it with one game and after a bit of faffing in the config file it's working great. Xbox one controller (wired), Driver version 6.2.11059.0 [26/05/2014]. I definitely need to write up some tutorials for this.
