I'd say the P3 was the perfect pairing. The P4 will be bottlenecked by the Banshee but if your running a game, lets say Quake 3 for arguments sake that could do with a few extra MHz, putting it in a P4 isn't going to hurt I tried voodoo banshee 16 mb with pentium3 but games performances not good …
