I thought about using diskcopy as well, but I don't think it has a per file switch unfortunately 🙁 [edit] diskcopy was present in very early versions of MSDOS (2.11) and didn't need a HDD to transfer the files back then. Everything was done in RAM. I don't know about the later iterations.

How? I tried to use xcopy, but it always tells me that the "file cannot be copied onto itself". I must be missing something. I have DOS 6.22 install disks, DOS 6.22 installed on a floppy, and files I want to move around on regular floppies.

I tend to gravitate more towards games that integrate into the OS, being windowed, using the pointer and menus, etc. If the game is in full screen, using its own windowing system, then it doesn't really matter which OS is under it, and I just use DOS or Windows …

EDIT: Maybe add the /u switch to the /f:720 you already have? It tries to do a "safe format" by default as of MS-DOS 5.0. Also, my systems insist on having the format detection hole blocked. Unless they can't reliably hold data in any format, old floppies should generally work about as well as new …
