With humidity 8-20% swamp (evaporative) cooler is the best option in the Summer.

I used NBench which I've never found online or mentioned since. It could do 1-20 threads for cpu/mem/disk. I think it came on a Byte magazine CD prior to W95. I used it on NT, but it worked on 9x, 2k, and XP. A nice compare since same software oin all cases.
