I got a legacy machine not to long ago it was from an office running win95 so i wasnt expecting much but it was a p3-450 128mb ram with a voodoo 3 card and a aureal vortex 2 sound card - RESULT.......

ps: there is no dx 4 no need to install them all just dx 7 and you'll be fine probaly be safest not to go to dx 8.1 as none of those old games need it

the only reason for doing so would be for those dos games that talk directly to the card without the need for drivers like ef2000 in that case yes but do not install drivers for the v1

ok heres an idea i assume when you run setup it creates a config file so i would boot into real dos google for freedos if you dont have real dos and run the setup there the copy the config file over to your dosbox setup so you dont need to run it
