I may just stick with my Pentium II machine. This 486 is a real pain in the ass. I'm probably going to take tonight and tomorrow to audit all my old Computer Equipment. Get it documented and then post the specs. See if any of you guys may have some better opinions on what should be where etc...

Even if you get X-Wing Alliance installed on a Windows 7 machine, chances are the graphics will be distorted during gameplay making it unplayable. The only way I have been able to get X-Wing Alliance working again was on a Windows 9x machine with a nvidia 5 series and below. I still play this game …

I was able to track down all drivers. Got Windows 95 running smoothly. Now I don't know what to do with it. 😀

My HDD wasn't configured properly in the BIOS. Was only configured for 80MB when it's 500MB.

Any suggestions for adding a larger HDD? I have a few floating around from some Win9x Desktops. I saw someting called OnTrack Disk Manager. Is this what I need?

I think I got it working. Installed and booted up X-Wing CD and it's playing fine. The music is sending a chill down my spine.

I was able copy over the autoexec and config but cd-rom is still failing to load. I have no idea what the configurations are for it.
