Re: gus hardware module player list

Thanks Itning, I had lost metal 0.2pl5 by a manipulation error and I could not find it back. I searched quite a bit to get it back but was unsuccessful, so I'm quite grateful for you post. I did put it as a hardware player because in the doc and command line it's question of sending sample to the …

Re: Tandy Nano - 3 Voice Soundcard ISA - Lowprofile

On the v1.0 card I hooked the ground to the lower (the one next to "C12" silkscreen text) pin of C12 (which is really R2), L+R are before the added 10k resistor (between the pcboard and the resistor) at the middle leg of the 10k trimpot. Thus providing a safe line-level to the host card via a molex …

Re: SBVGM (DOS) VGM Player

Nice work as usual OPLx. I took some time to test the player with what I had under my hand tonight. One computer had a sb1.5+cms and the other only have the tndy nano. With the help of -noscan, I could quickly select OPLL and/or PSG music by using the -a and/or -C switch. On the tndy nano (still not …

Re: Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos - play as Dawn

oh hi Nyerguds2 ! I think my comment might have been a bit blunt and I'm sorry I was such careless mentioning Librarian and Westpak software. It did not occurred to me the author would read my post and I hope did not offend you talking about your software in such a way. I should had mentioned that …

Re: Tandy Nano - 3 Voice Soundcard ISA - Lowprofile

Ah it all make sense now ! I was wondering how the ATiny was told by the ISA bus to reset the SN76489. Thank you a lot for answering my questions and the release of the schematic. You see, I learn so much studying your project, it goes far beyond the scope of just enjoying SEGA Master System titles …

Re: SBVGM (DOS) VGM Player

You are right, the autodetection was not slow before... I wonder what make this system so slow, I timed it around 1 to 2 seconds (which become noticeable if you have to skip a bunch of incompatible vgm). The presence of BLASTER= environment variable seem to make the autodetection faster. Oh well, …

Re: Tandy Nano - 3 Voice Soundcard ISA - Lowprofile

Thanks for the heads up, matze79. I did not noticed the job of the ATiny13. I looked at your circuit this way and now I believe the ATiny13 can reset the SN76489 via it's pin 7 and mute the LM386N via it's pin #3 and the help of the NPN at T1, right ? That's very clever from you and I just realize …

Re: SBVGM (DOS) VGM Player

Adding a switch to disable auto-detection at the beginning is no problem. With the auto-detection disabled, it would be up to the user to know exactly what audio options desired. This would decrease the start up time (especially for the slower machines). With the current VGM format, there's no way …

Re: Tandy Nano - 3 Voice Soundcard ISA - Lowprofile

Hi matze79, thanks for the schematic. I do not want to disable amplified output. I am searching for ideal position to add line-out to the circuit. If I compare with similar project, I think it would be between C11 and R5. Although on my v1.0 version there is no R5. I pinout in yellow the audio-out …

Re: SBVGM (DOS) VGM Player

Wow that's great news, OPLx! Since you have the habit to release achieved builds I was certain your new version would work alright but I was eager to test it anyway. It was a real treat to listen to all of my favorite SEGA Master System music via a playlist on original hardware while I could do …
