I found the solution to my woes.... All I had to do, was to create a partition with ID=0x76 and then DD the image file into that partition. It seems as the acid aproach are second best to give the metal parts a new coating by electro. I believe the metal parts are originally coated by nikkel in the factory, by the use of electro.
