Its a PCI i740. I've not used an I740 which from what I remember usually has little to no memory on most of the AGP variants, and that one is PCI would be great to see benchmarks on it.

I don't think anyones posted a score in the 99 thread for the Real3d starfighter card yet. How compatible is that card for gaming anyway? Noone ever talks about it.

Yea its got 2 external sata ports. Jumpers switch them between internal\External. Got a couple PCI-E sata II controllers like that. It should not make a difference tho. Did you flash the bios?

Yes if your using an LCD. Banshee and Voodoo 3\4\5 with many dos games like the space chase series, have weird flickering issues when played on an LCD.

Pretty much the same as the syba one but with a normal bracket. There almost all rebrands I think. The one I'm using in the Pro rig, came in a generic as generic box as you can get. I keep a PCI Banshee in a cyrix Pr 200 So yea +1 vote for 3dfx! But if you want more compatibility with dos games, go for a PCI based Nvidia card.

Here are the Sil3512 results Under 9x, on that pentium Pro Rig. Since proof seems to be needed. Sure beats 30mb a sec 🤣 . Slightly over 100mb Read and 90mb write under a 98se fresh install.

These along with the 3112\3114 are the only sata I controllers I've found that play happy and can negotiate the speed back down to I speeds with sata III devices. Yea I've already put the card in my Pentium Pro rig, which is likely where its gonna stay. It has 2-16mb simms on it already plucked from the normal SB32 that was in it. I'll have pics of that system posted eventually, still trying to get it perfect. Not throwing away the BOX. Its sitting right now …
