I managed to resolve my IRQ2 (9) conflict on the MIDI interface. Seems like the culprit was not my motherboard but, my sound card. On this particular sound card (Aztech Labs Sound Galaxy - AZT1605 chipset) you can actually specify a separate IRQ for the MPU-401 UART MIDI interface. Despite me …
